Papa loved going down to the beach early in the morning and getting fresh fish from the fisherman, and grilling them to perfection. The kids were always so excited to look in the cooler when he came home. The beach also provided the kids with countless hours of fun--collecting shells, hermit crabs, snails and making some pretty amazing sand castles. Speaking of hermit crabs...this lil' guy pictured above is Hermie. My sister brought him home from the beach one day and the kids had such a wonderful time playing with him. He was so cute and gentle. I kind of miss him.
